What's the real difference?
Systems on the market today use many independent components that aren't really communicating with each other. Each piece just reacts to a change and interferes with the function of another component. For example, if temperature rises, ventilation functions will over-ride heating and cooling devices.
The Element Control Systems work as an integrated unit. A "brain" communicates with each component and calls each part, vent fans, heaters, dehumidifiers, etc., into action - without conflicting with another function. These systems provide a constancy of conditions that benefit plants tremendously.
